Kråkeboller

It was love at first sight!

The idea of sea urchin collection came suddenly during a free diving in the Adriatic Sea. During the observation under the water I've noticed a lot of sea urchins. Black creatures with long spiky needles. Next to the sea urchins that were fool of life, there were sea urchin shells as well. So different and so beautiful.

When a sea urchin dies and its body is washed out of the shell, the spines fall off leaving a  beautiful pattern.

The shell itself is very delicate and fragile. I was fascinated by that shape of the shell so much that I wanted to have it with me all the time. So I made it in silver.
